Founder and Chairman

George Eugene Reywa Peywa, BSc (Public Health), Dip. Pharmacy, is the Founder and Chairman, Board of Management. He brings over 20 years’ experience in health systems strengthening, pharmaceutical practice, and hospital management. He is also Superintendent of Eliphys Group of Chemists, providing strategic leadership in healthcare, education, governance, and community development.

Beatrice Achieng Abura

Deputy Chair

Beatrice Achieng Abura, MPH, BScN, RN, serves as Deputy Chair, Board of Management. She is a seasoned public health and nursing professional with 14 years’ experience in health systems strengthening, governance, and multi million dollar program oversight. She is also Founder and Director of Presbyoptics Solutions, a social enterprise advancing community based eye health in Kenya.

Non-Executive Director and Co-Founder

Metresa Tamnai Masobo, Dip. Pharmacy, is a Non-Executive Director and Co-Founder of Spicas Nursing Homes, with over 20 years’ experience in pharmaceuticals, healthcare business management, and community development. She contributes strong expertise in pharmaceutical governance, investment strategy, risk management, and community health advocacy, supporting sustainable institutional growth.

Joy Rael Akello

Secretary General

Joy Rael Akello is the Secretary General to the Board at Spicas Medical Centre Ltd, supporting board governance, documentation, and institutional compliance. She coordinates board records, communication, and reporting, and supports health information management with professionalism, accuracy, and strict confidentiality. Joy is fluent in English and Kiswahili.

Protus Simiyu Barasa, MPH, BSc (Community Health) , BSc IT, is a seasoned project and operations leader with 16 years in health systems strengthening, humanitarian programming, and socio-economic empowerment. He brings strong expertise in governance, performance management, data analytics, risk management, and stakeholder engagement, supporting strategic oversight and business development.
